JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-A Monday evening fire sends firefighters to an apartment complex at 1005 Raines street.
Jonesboro firefighters responded to a call around 8:30 at the Avalon apartments.
Assistant Fire Chief Alan Dunn says when they arrived on the scene apartment 24 was fully engulfed on the bottom level.
Residents of the apartment were uninjured, however, a Jonesboro firefighter was sent to the hospital.
He has since been treated and released.
A preliminary investigation reveals that a kitchen fire may be the cause of the incident, but that is yet to be determined.
This fire is still under investigation.
