Series of small quakes rattle Region 8
BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) – A series of small earthquakes hit the Region 8 area early Friday morning.
According to the Center for Earthquake Research in Memphis, the first quake, a 1.6 shook Caruthersville area around 2:55 this morning.
About 10 minutes later at 3:03 a 1.8 earthquake hit the Strawberry area.
The final and strongest quake to hit the area was a 2.2 quake that hit about three miles south of Brookland around 8:24a.
No damage or injuries have been reported with any of these quakes.
