Title (Max 100 Characters)
A Jonesboro woman received an early morning wake-up call from police.
While she slept, her three-year-old son apparently opened the door to their apartment and went for a walk.
Just before 4 a.m. Tuesday Officer Timothy Burns was dispatched to the 1600-block of Stone Street. When he arrived Burns said he found the boy standing with a neighbor. The man told Officer Burns he came out of his apartment and saw the child walking around by himself.
After speaking with the boy and searching the area, Officer Burns reported spotting an open apartment door. When he entered he found the child’s mother asleep.
Officer Burns interviewed the mother and concluded that the child had opened the door and walked outside without her knowledge.
The mother was not charged.
