Two juveniles charged as adults in pawn shop armed robbery | News

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Two juveniles charged with robbing a
pawn shop appeared in court Monday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, 17-year-old
Quinest Johnson and 16-year-old Malik Gilbert are charged with aggravated
robbery and will be charged as adults.
Jonesboro Police say the two teens entered Wolf Den Pawn on
East Johnson Thursday afternoon and asked to see some handguns.
Police say when the clerk opened the case; Johnson and
Gilbert pulled guns and pointed them at her face. She told police the men said
they would be back and kill her if she called police.
A while later police found the suspects in a nearby
apartment. Police also found clothing matching the description of the suspects
and several guns in a living room closet.
Police say during the interview process, both teen confessed
to the crime in front of their mothers.
Both Johnson and Gilbert are due back in court on September
25.
