Jonesboro theater contributes to Malco fundraiser for children's hospitals | News

MEMPHIS, TV (KAIT) – Malco
Theatres announced that $43,000 will be donated to children's hospitals.
A spokesperson said the donation
funds were raised from the 2012 Kids Summer Film Fest, an annual festival that
offers reduced admission to family favorite films on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
throughout the summer.
Beneficiaries include St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, Arkansas
Children's Hospital, the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital (Jackson, MS),
Kosair Children's Hospital (Louisville, KY) and the Monroe Carell Jr.
Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Participating theaters
were located in Memphis, Arkansas, Mississippi and in Owensboro, KY.
Malco Theatres, headquartered
in Memphis, TN, is fourth-generation family-owned and operated. Malco operates
over 300 screens in 29 locations across the mid-south.
