This, along with some broken glass and blood, was all that was left following an attempted break-in at DCI Biologicals.
On Sunday, Jonesboro Police Officer Keith Baggett was called to the business, located at 2309 E. Nettleton, regarding damage to the front door.
The manager said the glass door had been broken out; but, there was no evidence of anything missing.
Baggett examined the door and “found blood and what appeared to be animal hair embedded in portions of the broken glass,” he reported.
He also found a broken antler on the sidewalk near the damaged door.
It’s believed the deer “walked up to the business sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning, (saw its) reflection in the tinted glass and charged the door.”
According to Officer Baggett’s report, dispatch later reported a deer-car accident at Caraway and Nettleton at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
