Changes happening on old NEA District Fairgrounds

The District Fair hasn’t been over for even a week, but major changes are already appearing on the old fairgrounds.

The sounds of concrete being broken up and hauled off along with the exposed structure of the commercial building would lead most to believe the building is being torn down, but the Becker Fabrication Company is only removing 50 feet from the building so a road can be paved behind the new restaurants and stores.

The end wall of the building will be rebuilt and left ready for rent until it is sold.

On a side note, this year’s fair attendance was 53,114.
