Chili's giving back to Goodwill

Chili’s all across Arkansas are banding together to raise money for the Goodwill in Searcy.

In March, the story burned to the ground.

Today, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Chili’s will donate 10 percent of food and beverage sales to help rebuild the Goodwill so it can continue to assist those in need and provide jobs.

The following Chili’s Grill & Bars located in Your Region 8 will be participating in the fundraiser:

  • Jonesboro
  • Mountain Home
  • Paragould
  • Searcy

A couple of Jonesboro businesses will soon pack up and move…to new locations.

Haag Brown Commercial announced Tuesday The Refinery Christian apparel store and Wings to Go plan to relocate to the Fairgrounds Re-Development on Stadium Boulevard.

The Refinery, which is currently located in the Mall at Turtle Creek, will join Starbucks Coffee Company and Men’s Wearhouse clothing store in the new three-tenant Parkwood Center which is currently under construction.  The building will face Stadium Boulevard.

New restaurant applies for private club license

They haven’t opened for business yet.

But when they do, Natural Steak Sandwich Company hopes to have a license to sell alcohol.

According to the Department of Finance and Administration’s Alcoholic Beverage Control board, last week the business applied for a Private Club Class A license.

The restaurant is located in the Shoppes at Hilltop, 3410 E. Johnson in Jonesboro.

Qdoba, Everyday Chef coming to Jonesboro

Haag Brown Commercial announced Friday it has closed on a deal to bring a new restaurant and store to Jonesboro.

Qdoba Mexican Grill and The Everyday Chef will be located on Parkwood Drive facing Sissy's Log Cabin and Panera Bread, according to a news release from Haag Brown Commercial.

Nix Construction has already begun site work and completion is expected in late summer.

Dine at Colton's today and help raise autism awareness

April is National Autism Awareness Month.

To raise awareness and help families in Your Region 8 affected by autism spectrum disorders, a fundraiser will be held today at Colton's Steak House, 2309 E. Parker Rd. in Jonesboro.

From 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Coltons will donate 10 percent of their daily sales to the Autism Association of Northeast Arkansas (AANEA).

AANEA will also have a table set up by the front door with more information for families who have a child with an autism spectrum disorder.
