As these photos prove, wind and fire do not mix.

Around 1:30 this afternoon the Jonesboro Fire Department was called to an out-of-control brushfire at 2007 Magnolia Road.

Within minutes Engines 1 and 6 and Truck 1 were on the scene and doused the flames.

By 2 o’clock, all that remained were charred ground cover and smoke.
